Guess what? ChickenFOOT!

I got a book in the mail today that I ordered with some birthday money a few weeks ago.  It is a beautiful book!  MaryJane Butters is a favorite in my home.

She runs the maryjanefarms website.

She has written several books and I own two of them now...

This is the one I owned first

This is the one I just got

I still want the sewing one she offers.

Sometime I will pick it up and complete the collection.

Ok, I shared that to tell you that I LOVE THE OUTPOST BOOK!!!

It is full of lots of stuff I love... camping, backpacking, flyfishing, picnics, working outside, gardening and harvesting, etc...

We have been going for years to a little place called Antonito, CO to fish.  It is a shame we have not had the money in recent years to make the trek but I am hoping we can do that again soon.

One of the places we enjoy when we go is heading in to shop at the Fox Creek Store
It is where we purchase our fishing licenses and a few flies to fish with.

It is also famous for something else...

Mrs. Howsley was the lady that ran the shop for years when we went in but she sold the place a few years ago due to health issues.  She is the person who put this together.  It is a copyrighted game and we own an original from her!  You can still buy the game there, though.

We played it just two nights ago and I just wanted to share this treasure with you guys.  The following is from a rousing game we enjoyed together.

Every set comes with a registered number, an official box and feather and the business cards from the original inventor

You can choose from a variety of designs... we picked the ichthus for two reasons
One, we are Christians and two, we bought these where we go fishing!  LOL

The sets all have a double nine series.

and I suppose you can tell why it is called "Chickenfoot"

We love Chickenfoot!  Just one more game we play together when we can play together.

You may have heard it said that the family that plays together, stays together but I suggest this is a better summary of playing families...

The family that plays together has lots of inside jokes for years of laughing together.  LOL
