So, if you came to my house...
You would see:lots of remodeling projects... LOL toys, books, videos and movies and several cozy rooms that look very lived in including the kitchen.
We’d probably feed you:
Of course we would feed you.... LOL
A roasted chicken, roasted asparagus or potatoes all served on some grain like quinoa or brown rice or couscous and a giant salad to start your meal with stuff like spinach and kale and mesclun mix and strawberries or craisins and feta cheese or parmesan and walnuts or almonds 'cause I am SO into my salads lately!!!
Dessert would be a fruit cobbler or a pie or a strawberry shortcake with freshly made biscuits (for you brits that is more of scone thing and not a cookie) with freshly whipped cream or ice cream (Blue Bell of course!)
And offer you this to drink:
Well, we have water and ice tea, hot tea or coffee and did I mention water? No sodas here... sorry... but you are always welcome to bring your own. :)
We’d undoubtedly ask if you’d read:
Sit, Walk, Stand by Watchman Nee and if you haven't we would give you our most recent copy 'cause we have given away so many of them to date! LOL
Dan would also mention Knowing God by J.I. Packer and probably another Watchman Nee called the Release of the SpiritI would certainly mention the Mitford series! ;) LOVE.IT!!!
We’d want to play this music for you:
It would have to be a live jam session with Dan and J(14) on guitar and bass or somebody would be on the piano. There might be recorders and other band and percussion instruments that would come out and of course you would be welcomed to join in on whatever you want to grab or just sing along. Live music... ALWAYS!
We’d want to tell you the latest about:
The kiddos of course!!!
We’d probably suggest a game of:
Cranium and if we had the game Apples to Apples by the time you got here we would certainly drag that one out.
We might show off:
Ummm... all the projects we have actually completed and the picture wall from college to the present. If the sun is still out the garden is a must when it is in top form.
We might get on the computer and show you:
The YouTube videos the boy has put up but that is about it.
If it was a long enough visit, we might watch:
The kids would be welcome to enjoy a movie but I cannot imagine what we could watch other than tons of kiddos and all the other stuff above.
